Recently, Wu Zhiwei, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor from the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, led a delegation to visit and research Voksel. The General Manager of the Indonesian Engineering Company, Wang Weibo, warmly received the team, and the Marketing Director of Indonesian MBG, Girei, along with heads of relevant departments at Voksel, participated in the discussion.

During the meeting, Wang Weibo reported on the Hengtong Group's progress and achievements in areas such as safe production, localization development, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) at their Indonesian factory. Representatives from Voksel shared the development history of the Hengtong Group and Voksel in Indonesia.

Wu Zhiwei highly commended the achievements of Hengtong and its integration into the local market. He stated that Hengtong Group's localization efforts in the Indonesian market were very solid and effective. Wu Zhiwei emphasized that as major developing countries and representatives of emerging economies, China and Indonesia share extensive common interests. He set forth three requirements for Indonesian Voksel: first, to continuously develop and improve safety production rules and emergency measures to ensure production safety; second, to persist in localization development and integrate into the local community culture; third, to adhere to the "Belt and Road" initiative, introducing advanced domestic technology and products to serve the Indonesian market and establish a Chinese image there.
During the visit, Wu Zhiwei and his team also toured the Voksel factory, gaining a deeper understanding of the company's production and development, and extended New Year greetings to the factory workers.

Voksel, established in 1971 and with a history of 53 years, went public on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 1990. It is a major supplier to the Indonesian National Electricity Grid and Indonesian Telecom, as well as a well-established listed company in the manufacture of optical cables. Since Hengtong Group's investment in 2015, it has leveraged its own technological and R&D strengths to continually enhance Voksel's core competitiveness in Indonesia's public engineering sector. By the end of December 2023, the Group had completed further acquisitions of Voksel, and will continue to leverage its strengths to contribute "Chinese power" to the development of Indonesia's electric power market.
