Product structure
The cable core is a double-sheath, loose-tube, SZ-stranded design. An extruded polyethylene inner sheath is reinforced
with aramid, and a polyethylene outer sheath with extruded aramid yarn provides comprehensive protection.

Core advantages
Four properties that make the double-jacket ADSS design suited to long-life overhead deployment.
01
Excellent environmental adaptability
A double-jacket design pairs a polyethylene (PE) inner layer with a weather-resistant PVC or low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) outer layer. It stays stable from -40°C to +60°C, and its lifespan is extended by at least 30% compared with single-jacket cables.
02
Multiple waterproof measures
Highly absorbent gel filling locks out moisture to keep it away from the optical fibers, so signal transmission stays stable even in humid conditions.
03
Efficient transmission performance
Low-attenuation fibers keep loss to no more than 0.35 dB/km at 1310 nm and 0.22 dB/km at 1550 nm, supporting clear, stable long-distance transmission for high-capacity networks.
04
High strength & tensile resistance
High-strength aramid fibers, evenly distributed as reinforcing elements, give the cable robust tensile strength so it holds structural integrity through strong winds and demanding installation.
Technical parameters
Mechanical parameters are given per span design; fiber attenuation is given per fiber grade.

Frequently asked questions
Q: What is aerial installation?
A: Aerial installation is a method of installing fiber optic cables by hanging them over utility poles or other overhead structures. It is often used where the cable cannot be buried underground, such as mountainous or urban areas. Specialized equipment - such as bucket trucks or helicopters - is typically used to string the cables between poles or other structures.
Q: Why pay attention to the pole span of an aerial optical cable?
A: Aerial fiber optic cables are suspended between support poles or structures, creating tension due to the cable's weight. The distance between the poles determines the tension levels on the cable, so longer pole spans can increase tension and affect the cable's performance and lifespan. Engineers consider pole span - and the resulting cable suspension tension - to keep the cable within acceptable limits.
Q: What is the minimum distance of ADSS cable from an electrical cable?
A: To determine the specific minimum distance of an ADSS fiber optic cable from an electrical cable, consult the relevant regulations and standards - such as those from local governing bodies, utility companies, and industry organizations like the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) or the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
