Dry Cleaning Method
Dry cleaning is a common cleaning method, suitable for most situations. Commonly used dry cleaning tools include:
Tape Cassette Cleaning Tool: Such as the CLE-BOX cassette cleaner. This tool uses a cleaning tape made of superfine textile fibers, which can effectively remove dust and oil stains without scratching the surface or leaving alcohol marks.
Business Card-sized Cleaning Tool: Use a business card-sized cleaning sheet for cleaning.
One-press Fiber Optic Cleaning Pen: Clean by compressed air or gas.
Cleaning Rod: Use a specially made cleaning rod for cleaning.
Wet Cleaning Method
Wet cleaning is suitable for difficult-to-remove grease or sticky contaminants. Commonly used wet cleaning tools include:
Cleaning Liquid: Such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or a cleaning liquid specifically designed for fiber optic cleaning, which can dissolve and remove the dirt adhering to the end face.
Cleaning Cloth: Use a cloth soaked in cleaning liquid for wiping.
Specific Operation Steps and Precautions
Dry Cleaning Steps:
When using the tape cassette cleaning tool, slide the cover to expose the cleaning cloth, slide the ferrule end face in the direction indicated by the cassette, press the control rod to pull out a new cleaning cloth for cleaning, and then press the control rod to close the sliding cover.
When using the business card-sized cleaning tool, insert the business card-sized cleaning sheet into the connector for wiping.
When using the one-press fiber optic cleaning pen, clean it with compressed air or gas.
When using the cleaning rod, directly insert it into the connector and rotate it for wiping.
Wet Cleaning Steps:
Dip a cotton swab in a small amount of alcohol, insert it into the connector and gently rotate it, and then use a dry cotton swab to wipe off the remaining alcohol.
Use a cloth soaked in cleaning liquid for wiping. After ensuring that all dirt is removed, wipe it clean with a dry cloth.
