Reason: the inner wall of the pipeline is not smooth, there are sundries, or the flat optical cable and other cables are intertwined, which will lead to increased resistance during laying.
Solution: Clean the pipe with a pipe cleaner before construction to ensure that the inner wall is smooth without debris. If there are multiple cables in parallel, the laying sequence should be reasonably planned, and traction rope and lubricant should be used to assist laying to reduce friction resistance.
It is easy to distort and deform during laying
Reason: the width of the flat introduced optical cable is large but the thickness is small. In the laying process, if the traction is uneven or obstacles occur, it is easy to distort, which will affect the performance of the optical cable.
Solution: adopt professional wiring device, maintain uniform speed, stable wiring, control the traction direction and the optical cable axis. When encountering obstacles, mark in advance and carefully, or clear the obstacles.
It is difficult to get through a small space
Reason: In some old buildings or places with limited space, there may be small thread holes, narrow pipes and other conditions, resulting in the flat optical cable is difficult to pass through.
Solution: the front end of the flat cable can be tapered to reduce the resistance. You can also choose a finer flat optical cable or try to use a guide wire and other tools to guide the optical cable through a narrow space.
Optical cable fixation problem
Fixed not firm
Reason: the improper selection of fixed parts, the installation position is not appropriate or the installation process is not standard, will lead to the optical cable fixation is not firm, easy to loose, fall off and other phenomena.
Solution: according to the weight of the cable and laying environment, choose the appropriate fixparts, such as pins, wire groove, etc. During installation, ensure that the installation position of the fixparts is accurate, the spacing is reasonable, generally every 30-50 cm should be fixed once. When using the pin fixation, pay attention to the depth of the pin to avoid damage to the cable.
Injury to the optical cable when fixing
Reason: When using the pins or other fixed tools, if too much force or improper operation, it may puncture the optical cable skin and cause damage to the internal optical fiber.
Solution: the construction personnel should master the use of fixed tools, and the force should be moderate. When fixing the optical cable, a layer of protective tape can be wrapped on the surface of the optical cable first to enhance the puncture resistance ability of the optical cable.
