FAQ

Q: How can you tell if a fiber is single mode or multi-mode?

A: Distinguishing between single mode and multi-mode fibers can be expedited by observing the jacket colors of the cables. Fiber optic cable jacket colors provide a quick and straightforward method for identification. Specifically, a yellow jacket signifies a single mode cable, while an orange jacket denotes a multi-mode cable. This color-coded system aids technicians in accurately identifying cable types and selecting the appropriate ones for specific network requirements.

Q: What type of cable is used for fiber Internet?

A: Fiber Internet typically uses single-mode fiber optic cable (SMF) for long-distance and high-speed data transmission. Single-mode fiber has a smaller core size compared to multi-mode fiber and is optimized for carrying a single mode or pathway of light, which allows it to transmit data over longer distances with minimal signal loss. Single-mode fiber is preferred for broadband Internet services, long-distance telecommunication networks, and high-capacity data center connections. It provides greater bandwidth and higher data transfer speeds, making it suitable for delivering the high-speed and reliable Internet connections required for modern applications. Multi-mode fiber (MMF) is often used for shorter-distance applications within buildings or campus networks, where the data transmission requirements are not as demanding as long-distance Internet connectivity. It can be suitable for some local network connections, but for high-speed, long-distance Internet access, single-mode fiber is the more common choice.

Q: Can l print our own logo on the product?

A: Yes, Please send your logo to us.

Packaging

After all tests are completed, the MPO/MTP products will be packaged according to the customer's requirements. Usually, we will use PE bag to pack the jumper cables of the small meter section, and then put them into a small carton; to ensure the safety, we will use paper spool to pack the large meter section, and finally both of them will be packed in carton again.
